Secretarial - PA Secretary
An exciting opportunity has opened up at a government department for a PA to join their busy team. The candidate will be responsible for managing the overall administrative support for the department’s committees.

Main duties and responsibilities include:
• Providing administrative support for all committees.
• Providing support at meetings including collating agendas and papers and taking minutes.
• Assisting in the planning and organisation of the annual conference, annual lecture and reception and new member training, development days and other training events throughout the year.
• Delegating administration, photocopying, making up packs, arranging couriers and coordinating evaluation and feedback.
• Manage the initial administration for member’s appraisal, accreditation and monitoring schemes.
• Sending papers to members, logging information on spreadsheets, forwarding responses and chasing information.
• Acting as the central point for collecting and collating documents on consultation documents received.
• Logging external researcher’s applications, taking into account relevant legislation.
• Conducting internet searches and carrying out initial literary reviews when necessary.
We are looking for an highly organised individual who has good interpersonal and communication skills. The successful candidate must be able to prioritise workloads, have excellent telephone and written skills, be able to work to tight deadlines and pay attention to detail. An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint is required. Previous experience in administration and minute- taking is essential.
