Technical Bid Specialist is urgently needed for this global leading blue chip.
The Technical Bid Specialist will be accountable for; Partnering with System Integrator (SI) bid teams to develop winning proposals for large Internet application development and outsourcing contracts that pull Microsoft's application platform technologies including SQL Server 2008 R2, SharePoint Server for Internet Sites, ASP.NET, WCF, WPF, Silverlight, SharePoint Server, Windows Azure, Commerce Server and BizTalk. o Outline how Microsoft technology brings differentiated value to Internal and Internet/eCommerce application development
o Partner with SI bid teams to Architect a winning solution to the customer problem
o Work with SI to document the solution and respond with clear and concise bid responses - Escalating and resolving technical barriers with the Microosft, Redmond Platform BG.
- Evangelizing senior SI Architects and technical decision makers to increase their willingness to bid Internet application solutions on the MS Platform. The SI Bid Specialist will Develop and maintain relationships with SI architects, increasing the reputation of Microsoft's Application platform as a strong platform for supporting complex Internet applications and workloads.
- Identifying and documenting re-usable reference architectures that will increase SI willingness to bid a Microsoft solution
- Partnering with Bid Manager to identify high potential SI solution areas and ensure that they run on the Microsoft platform.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience - A strong candidate will possess as many of the following skills and experiences as possible
- 7-10 years enterprise technology pre-sales or consulting experience with deep expertise in developing successful bids and RFP responses on Microsoft application platform
- Experience working on a range of large Internet, Intranet and eCommerce mission critical applications on .net platform with SQL server.
- Deep architect-level knowledge of Microsoft's application platform technologies including SQL Server 2008 R2, SharePoint Server for Internet Sites, ASP.NET, WCF, WPF, Silverlight, SharePoint Server, Windows Azure, Commerce Server and BizTalk.
- Experience in working on large outsourcing deals as a pre-sale Architect role
- Knowledge of full application life cycle design tools and methodologies, eg, RUP, Extreme Programming, Agile, Test Driven Development, and Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) is also essential.
