Central London EC1 £40,000 Our client is a City of London-based financial consulting group, who provide a range of investment business activities to a prestigious client portfolio. They are currently looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join their team. Managing a portfolio of clients with an emphasis on accounting services and outsourcing services, as the Management Accountant you will assist the team leader in managing the Corporate department. Your responsibilities will include: - managing a portfolio of assignments including resource management and forecast - year end accounts preparation - statutory accounts, preparation of year end statutory accounts - Corporation tax, preparing company tax computations with varied technical issues - VAT, review of and preparation of VAT returns Additionally, you will be required to supervise and mentor junior assistants, interviewing new staff where appropriate, and preparing and running internal staff meetings. Essential to your success as the Management Accountant will be your experience within a management-level accountancy role, and your certification in ACA or ACCA. You must also have at least 3 A levels at ‘B’ or above, as well as GCSE English and Maths at ‘B’ or above (or equivalent). With your up to date technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRSSE, Corporation tax and Company law, you will also be competent in using Sage and MS Office. This role will also require your excellent communication skills, along with the ability to effectively mentor and supervise staff, and work well in a team.
