Description
We are a global charitable foundation dedicated to achieving extraordinary improvements in health by supporting the brightest minds.
Wellcome Collection, located opposite Euston Station in London, is a major public venue for the Wellcome Trust. Part gallery, part museum, an extraordinary library, caf? and much more, it takes a thoughtful and experimental look at medicine, life and art, rooting science in the broad context of health and wellbeing.
We are currently recruiting staff to join our enthusiastic Visitor Services team to ensure that all visitors have an enjoyable and safe visit. You will staff the galleries and information point, assist with events and deliver tours, provide an interpretative role for visitors and encourage interaction with the exhibits - generally providing the highest standards of visitor service that our incurably curious visitors have come to expect. To be considered you will need to demonstrate the following:
?Experience in a visitor focused environment, ideally a museum, gallery or similar.
?Commitment to high standards in customer care and excellent communication skills.
?An ability to lead guided tours and work as part of a team.
?Enthusiasm for the content and subject areas of Wellcome Collection.
?Good general level of education.
A second language and experience of being a fire marshal would be advantageous but are not essential. Due to the nature of the work, a satisfactory Criminal Records Bureau check may be required prior to appointment.
You will need to be flexible and available to work during the building's operational times including evenings and weekends on a regular basis.
