Their staff, clients and competitors recognise them as an exciting, dynamic and professional organisation. Their key aim for their staff is to create a challenging, stimulating and enjoyable working environment. To fulfill this ambition they are looking for a .NET Developer / Web Developer (.NET, C#, XML), who is inventive, dedicated and will come with a track record of success. Part of a development team with eight members, as a .NET Developer / Web Developer you will be working on existing and new websites for a variety of clients. These websites range from complex e-commerce applications, CMS and interactive websites. In particular you would be part of the ongoing development activity for one of their major accounts with a significant e-commerce presence. As a .NET Developer / Web Developer your role will include: - development of .NET, C#, XML and web services - use of varied technologies, including but not limited to XML, Microsoft .NET, C#, ASP.NET, CSS, HTML and Java Script - using these technologies and products to dynamically interact with SQL databases - mainly MS SQL Server ***** - Client liaison As a member of their established development team, you will have the opportunity to be the lead developer on a number of new projects within your first year, and will report directly into the CTO. You will establish relationships with clients to help improve their existing websites, learn from and contribute to their in-house code library, and regularly bring new technical ideas to the team. To succeed as the .NET Developer / Web Developer you will hold a computer science or similar discipline degree (2:2 and above) or equivalent, have a strong foundation in programming techniques and theories (including object orientated programming), and possess previous web development experience using .NET and C#. What will give you a distinct advantage: - hands-on experience of web application development - strong programming experience, specifically developing with .NET, C#, XML and web services - experience developing large e-commerce and CMS applications - an eye for detail and high quality standards In order to be considered for the role of is role you must be able to demonstrate enthusiasm and self-motivation. You will be skilled at multi-tasking, handling several different projects at any time. Effective communication skills are essential as this role involves client liaison at all levels.
