| Helpdesk Team Leader - Desktop Services (IT Technical Support)
London, Hounslow, West London Up to £40,000 + medical, dental, travel insurance, 25 days holiday A global player in the IT Services sector needs a Helpdesk Team Leader. You will be hands on technically and able to lead & manage the helpdesk team, with overall responsibility/accountability for: the MIS Helpdesk/Service Desk, the Desktop Applications/Services and the Helpdesk/Support Team Staff. You will need: * Proven experience of the Microsoft family of products, having worked with Windows 95, NT4, Windows *****, and XP, also being proficient in MS Office, troubleshooting Word, Excel, etc. * Proven People Management skills, including coaching, mentoring You will also need experience of the following: - Terminal Services - Level 3 desktop support inc baselining - Dell Hardware. - Troubleshooting networking issues - DNS/DHCP/WINS/TCPIP - Change, Availability, Capacity Management - Symantec Ghost - VNC/Hyena/Terminal Server - Helpdesk ticketing software - Remote access - Lotus Notes client The Helpdesk Team Leader will be educated to GCSE level in both Maths & English. Professional Qualifications necessary for the role of Helpdesk Team Leader: * ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management is desirable. * One of the following - MCSE, MCSA, MCP - desirable * Other qualifications in a related field or equivalent work experience * Personal FAST qualifications - desirable Furthermore you must have the ability to deal with high pressure situations while still providing excellent customer service.
