| IT Trading System Support Executive
Supporting the CreditMatch Trading system (TS) and related brokerage processes as well as providing backup to the Trading System Business Development team. While the focus will be on supporting the CreditMatch Trading System, the role may involve other internal trading systems Organisation: The position reports into the Head of Trading System Sales and Support, a role currently performed by the CEO Europe. Overall purpose: The Trading System is responsible for supporting the trading system and related brokerage desk business processes as required by brokers, broker management, operations and external clients. Key tasks, duties and quality standards in meeting department purpose/objectives: The role is vital for the current and future use of the Credit Derivatives and Bonds TS, API and STP products. It requires thorough knowledge of the Front End functionality, the detailed capabilities of the TS, and the markets to which the TS is deployed to. The role involves a set of daily tasks and requires a combination of proactive and reactive approaches. React and address problems quickly and efficiently. Proactive in following up reoccurring and long standing problems, actively seeking input from other parties, which may include Traders, Brokers, Internal IT, Internal Development/Product Management and Banks’ IT. Daily Tasks Understand, own and address any problems that occur throughout the brokerage day, reporting the issues to the relevant personnel when necessary (this may include the product management, development, IT and operations teams). Monitor usage, activity and good running of the TS Compile Daily Reports upon request Build relationships and trust with Brokers, Traders, and Clients IT department personnel Seek out new Opportunities for the trading screen and report these to product management Administration Manage company/user profiles Maintain company/user records in Excel shared spreadsheets Manage market data (reference entities and bonds) Manage Screen set-ups and configurations Technical Support Manage deployment and rollout of the TS to external clients First point of contact with clients IT departments regards to installation, packaging, connectivity and networking, firewall and proxy configuration, desktop configuration, Citrix deployment, and any other IT-specific issues related to making the TS available to the client. Training Ongoing training /demos to brokers and traders Training/demos for other internal users/support as required API and STP General knowledge of trading workflows General knowledge of CDS and Bonds Strategies/Pricing Problem workarounds Address immediately any broker/trader queries Asia Liaise with trading system support staff for any potential mutual support requirement Escalate IT issues routed through London when necessary. Other The role may require travel across Europe although this is expected to be infrequent. Training and other internal events may take place in North America or Asia. The role requires early starts to the working day as well as occasional evening social events with clients. This role involves responsibility for the success of a broad range of activities, all of which require both working technology, and the support of the broking community for whom these tasks are not naturally a priority. Success requires ownership of multiple qualities such as planning, technology and people skills. |
