IT Network Support Role We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our growing IT Team with two key elements to the role: 1) To assist with first and second line IT support in a helpdesk style environment. 2) To assist with server administration and configuration of a growing network / user base. The candidate must be prepared to work long hours when necessary with occasional weekend work also required. Skills Required: Candidate must: - Have a background in IT / Network Support - Have a full understanding of the Windows operating system (all versions) covering installation, through to administration / network configuration. - Demonstrate ability to Administrate and configure Windows *****server (covering network configuration, Internet Information Services, File and Print Sharing, User Administration and Security). - Familiar with configuration of Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 and above, SQL Server *****or other Database Administration. - Have experience in TCP/IP networking with an understanding of network infrastructures / topology. Experience/Understanding of Firewalls, Switches and Routers is very much an advantage here. - Have experience of IT support in a LAN/WAN environment with at least 50 end users. - Be enthusiastic, willing to learn and prepared to work when required. Advantageous Skills Although not essential, any Mac experience including OS X would be an advantage. Experience of configuring and administrating Unix/Linux servers would also be an advantage. Any experience of web site development including server-side programming (asp/cgi) as well as familiarity with Search Engine Optimisation |
