| Job Title: Database Management Administrator (Temporary till 31st August 01)
Location: EC3 Reporting to: Assistant Vice President Roles Reporting to this Position: N/A Purpose of Role: Specific Duties: To support all of the daily responsibilities undertaken by the Database Management Group:- 1. Responsibility for ensuring work is completed in order of priority. Open/amend IBS accounts as required, including audit, enhancement of data and to adhere to specific Client requirements. Open/update standard payment instructions (SSI’s) as received from Middle Office and other London Business units. To ensure procedures have been applied to relevant static data maintenance requests i.e. account opening/amendment requests, SSI’s To ensure full sets of SSI’s are obtained for Clients where they are not in place and to ensure this information is accurately record to theTreasury system. Responsibility for maintaining weekly interest rate changes on the IBS Treasury System. Responsible for ensuring Client’s non standard rate requirements are adhered to. To be responsible for reviewing/checking work prepared/processed by other members of the DBM team. To review all incoming SWIFT communications received by DBM and to take the appropriate actions i.e. diarise or action immediately To contribute to the creation/writing of detailed DBM “desk” procedures for all tasks undertaken by the department. 2. To ensure that DBM specific tasks/work are completed in their entirety (this includes all daily tasks and project work) 3. To achieve a complete understanding of the systems, workflow and data used by DBM in the completion of their duties. 4. Recommend/implement operational solutions to permanently resolve issues or to improve current workflow. Implement solution, as they are required taking into account DBM workload/priorities at that time. Contribute ideas that will improve operational efficiency within the department. 5. To be responsible for managing the content of the DBM “Mailbox”, included distribution of work and ensuring future dated events are prepared and placed in DBM’s actionable work diary. 6. To be responsible for the daily monitoring of the DBM diary and for ensuring actionable tasks are completed by close of business. 7. To ensure the status of work is reported. ***** PERSON SPECIFICATION Qualifications/Skills A background of Database Management/Static Data environment would be preferable Level of Education: Previous Level of Experience: Excellent PC skills and a good working knowledge of Access and Excel.
