| Our client, a niche firm of solicitors specialising in representing clients whose business is driven by technology, seeks a competent and experienced IT Trainer to join their firm to provide IT Support and Training to their staff (c. 80).
The role forms part of a 4-person IT team, and the postholder's time will be split roughly equally between Training and Support, so applicants should have experience of both aspects of this role. Key Duties: Training To prepare and update training material. To provide induction training for all new starters. To provide follow up training to all users. To identify the training needs of all users and to provide further training where necessary. To administer and maintain the training records of all staff members. To provide project based training when necessary. Support To provide telephonic first line support to all users. To provide desk side support to all users where necessary. To provide hardware support. To provide seminar and remote access support. To provide refresher training sessions and user workshops. Maintain a high degree of contact with staff to respond quickly to their changing needs. Development To identify training needs and support trends within the firm. To liaise with all users to identify improvements and to assist in the development of the IT systems. To manage the distribution of IT knowledge through out the firm. To develop and improve firm processes to achieve efficiency and productivity. To aid the IT Manager in identifying new applications that could be beneficial to the firm. To assist in new system implementations. To assist in existing system upgrades. General To carry out skills assessments for prospective and existing staff. To carry out workstation assessments for prospective and existing staff. To manage the firm's archiving and records management. To develop and maintain utilisation of house style throughout the firm. To manage and develop the firm's intranet. To manage and maintain the firm's quality procedures. All applicants should be confident, have great communication skills, and come with at least 2 years 1st & 2nd line support. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of training in the legal sector, although this is not essential.
