| Your overall duties will be to assist the manager and the assistant manager with the day to day running of the IT Department within a company of management consultants/chartered accountants.
Your duties will include, but not be resstricted to, providing 1st line support to users, to set up user accounts and maintenance, to deliver "How to" workshops with small groups of users. You will also be responsible for undertaking the daily back-ups, reporting problems and organising tape rota. Liaising with suppliers and purchasing Printers and Hardware Upgrades as well as keeping all of the departmental records and filing in good order and up to date. Experience in a similiar role is preferable, but not essential as extensive on the job training will be provided. You will be confident when installing software and performing hardware upgrades, and have a flexible "muck-in" approach to work. A good working knowledge of MS Windows 98, *****, XP, MS OFfice (essential) and NT Server is desirable. This is an excellent opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic individual. |
