| London-based, major international shipping company has a number of six-month vacancies for Technical Writers / Document Developers commencing in January *****.
Working within the Systems Documentation and Training Team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining reference documentation and training material using both electronic and paper based solutions. The team is also responsible for delivering the training material to instructors worldwide to provide a basis for them to work from. They are seeking enthusiastic individuals with the ability to hit the ground running, a team-orientated approach and a positive attitude will also prove vital. You will posses excellent technical writing and analytical skills and have fantastic attention to detail. In addition, you will need to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and precisely , capable of conveying complex information in a way that is understandable to people at all levels. The ability to learn quickly, work under pressure and to tight deadlines with little supervision is essential. Ideally you should have some experience of producing end user training material, some course development experience and an ability to Quality Assess materials will also prove beneficial although training will be given. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Visio will be required. Salary in the region of £20,000 per annum on a pro-rata basis.
