| Our client is one of the oldest, largest and most diverse universities in the UK. They currently seek an experienced Network Administrator to provide 2nd and 3rd line support to users across all sites. Responsible for service monitoring, fault report, tracking and in depth technical support to network users. The postholder will also be responsible for many day-to-day activities such as building and installing new equipment, setting up of new user accounts, and general house keeping duties.
Applicants must have high level knowledge of: NT *****and XP workstation; MS Office *****, *****and *****; installing & administering MS Windows NT, *****& *****Server. Candidates should have good knowledge of: TCP/IP infrastructure, supporting MS Access databases, administering backups; MS Exchange 5.5 and *****. Experience of working within a similar capacity and a similar environment would be advantageous, and all applicants should have excellent communication skills and a “can do” approach.
