They specialise in the sale of high technology consumer electronics, personal computers, domestic appliances, photographic equipment and communications products. As Project Manager with their Information Services team you will contribute to designing, installing, maintaining and developing systems which support highly specialisted activities in ten separate areas. From Buying, Marketing and Merchandising to Supply Chain, Distribution and Retail Operations, the company demands an extraordinary level of IT flexibility. Your Overall Objective will be to define and deliver Telephony systems and services throughout the group to satisfy a business requirement, to the agreed time, cost and quality. You and your team of 4 voice specialists will own, develop and implement telecommunications strategies and solutions across the group. A key function of this role will be to define, gain senior management approval and implement the group¡¦s telephony and call centre strategies to major call centres and numerous sites throughout the UK and Ireland. Additionally, you would be required to manage the Information Services Network Development telephony team, along with 3rd party suppliers, to deliver the many operational requirements, to exacting project deadlines, throughout the group. You will have full budgetary control of telecommunications projects which can be valued at several million pounds and contribution to the telecommunications budget cycle. TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED at least ten years in Telecommunications, covering various aspects of delivering telephony services. Experience in data communications (LAN for CRM integration) desirable. Your man-management and communication skills will be exemplary. You will be able to demonstrate successful deliverables in: „h The setting of strategic policies for a major UK/European organisation „h Seven figure plus projects, with phased delivery over several months, or years. „h The selling of Telephony services to senior management at director / board level. „h Implementation of large calls centre, PABX and related systems.
