| Reporting to the Partnership Secretary of an independant firm of Accountants/Management Consultants, you will be providing an information service to the Partners and Managers of the firm. You will be responsible for the maintenance of the central library, including the purchasing of all periodicals, books and subscription services. You will be providing advice and guidance to the firm on the development of Knowledge Management policies and practices. Carrying our research directed by the Partners using a purposed built browser based system, you will have sound IT skills and experience of database management, MS Office and browser based Internet and Intranet applications. This role is unsupervised.
You must have a relevant Librarian or Information Management Qualification, knowledge of the Accoutancy profession and the major topics therein would be an advantage. You will have experience in subscription management, cost control and budget control. The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for conducting research into a variety of topics and will be experienced in presenting these findings in a clear and concise manner. ***** |
