International software vendor seeks an experienced sales professional to become a pivotal part of their company by identifying and closing new sales opportunities.

At Harrington Starr our client develops high performance trading and risk management software for derivatives professionals. Their products are used by many of the world's leading investment banks, inter-dealer brokers, futures commission merchants, hedge funds and professional traders.

The ideal candidate for the sales manager/senior sales consultant role must have a proven track record in trading platform sales, will have a comprehensive knowledge of exchange traded derivatives,(commodities, derivatives, futures, options, trading) and will be able to understand and communicate the technology and infrastructure that supports electronic trading.

The key responsibilities for the Sales Manager/Senior Sales Consultant (Trading and Risk Management Software Vendor) role will include;

• Identifying new target organisations to sell to
• Identify key decision makers within these organisations and get in front of them
• Become a technical and functional expert on the clients product offerings
• Identify new sales opportunities within the existing customer base
• Provide professional presentations and product demonstrations to existing and new potential customers/clients
• Present ideas and take leadership role in redesign of marketing documentation

The specific requirements for the Sales Manager/Senior Sales Consultant (Trading and Risk Management Software Vendor) role includes;

• Must have a strong educational background - degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years' experience in sales
• A minimum of three years' experience in electronic platform sales
• Must be technically sound - exposure to trading systems
• Must have a genuine desire to be in sales
