| Our client requires a candidate who really enjoys workin with figures and accounts - A'level Maths standard essential
Summary of primary role: The maintenance and extraction of detailed data onto a standard PC based loading tool. The completion of the analysis within set targets for availability to external clients constitutes the prime function of this role. Key Responsibilities: 1. The accounts analyst is expected to extract detailed information from the Published Annual Report, in order to provide a *****plus item breakdown and textual information, which is loaded to a database and delivered via the on-line manipulative system. 2. The analyst is expected to carry out data checking on transmissions provided by 3rd party suppliers for individual markets. The ability to supplement the supplied data with additional in-house analysis will also be a requirement. 3. In addition, the analyst is expected to gain sufficient knowledge and experience so as to interpret information accurately in order to provide a complete analysis, which is comparable on a current and historical basis. 4. The analysis of a Company Report takes approximately 2 hours and requires a high level of concentration and accuracy. Emphasis is placed on the quality of the data loaded. Assistance in interpretation is always available from other members of the Department. Experience/Skills/Qualifications Essential Desirable A Level education or equivalent Mathematical Analytical Good communication skills Quick Learner Accounting knowledge Professional qualification in Accountancy PC Skills Working in a figure-orientated or financial field Familiar with the structure of a profit and loss account/balance sheet Experience in credit analysis, with an appreciation of accounting ratios used in the interpretation of final company reports and accounts |
