Our client is a charitable education-business partnership that transforms exceptional graduates into inspirational teachers - placing them into London, Greater Manchester and Midlands’ schools where they are needed. They now need a detail orientated Accounts Assistant with a can-do attitude to join their team.

The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for the day to day transactions processing on the finance system; ensuring payments are made in a timely manner. They will also have the responsibility for the invoicing and collection of income, and must be able to work with minimal supervision.

As the Accounts Assistant you will:

- take responsibility for the maintenance of purchase and sales Ledgers
- carry out monthly cash management procedures
- process and input journals in Sage Line 50 as required
- administer all payments in compliance with procedures

To succeed as the Accounts Assistant you will have experience of using Sage Line 50 within a Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or similar position.

You will have good numeracy skills, with the proven ability to handle figures accurately, and have experience of operating bought ledger and sales systems.

A good knowledge of Sage Line 50 and Microsoft Excel, Access and Word is required, as is experience of liaison with external organisations and agencies including sponsors, and suppliers.

With your ability to meet deadlines and your good communication and interpersonal skills, as the Accounts Assistant you will have the ability to plan you own work and set priorities.

Your impeccable attention to detail, ability to work effectively as part of a team and your integrity will put you in good stead as an Accounts Assistant, as would your ability to complete tasks under pressure.
