| This is a role working for a newly formed company in the UK which is backed by an Australian giant. They are seeking someone with the potential to join and grow with then in the capacity of Financial Accountant. You will be responsible for all aspects of the accounts including preparation of monthly management accounts, statutory VAT returns, and taking an active role in assisting the Finance Manager with the overall finance function.
Key areas of responsibility • Maintaining accounts payable ledgers including processing creditors invoices • Maintaining cashbooks including processing creditors payments via BACS transfers and maximising the use of automated payment methods. • Bank Reconciliations • Preparation of accounts on a monthly basis for review by Finance Manager and presentation to key management and the board. • Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations including preparation and lodgement of VAT returns and other Corporate Tax related payments. • Assisting with year end compliance and audit. Working with external auditors and external tax advisors. Experience The successful candidate will be mature in attitude and have at least 4 to 5 years experience either gained working in a professional capacity or commerce. Ideally, the candidate will have gained several years experience working as part of an accounts team including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Assistant Financial Accounting experience. Qualifications The successful candidate will have gained a bachelor of commerce or business degree at University. Studying towards a professional qualification such as C.I.M.A or Chartered Institute of Accountants is desirable but not necessary. Salary £25,000 - £30,000 p.a. Plus Pension. Employer sponsored pension scheme (employer contributes 2 for 1). Pension scheme Includes automatic life insurance benefits up to 4 times salary. 25 days annual leave p.a. Support would be given for study. |
