| Working for this prestigous property company that manage shopping centres nationwide and has assets of over £150 million.
Reporting to: ***** *****Principally to the Chief Accountant and the Company Secretary and to members of the accounts department for activities they delegate to the assistant. Duties: ***** *****The person appointed will give support to a small busy accounts team, headed by the Chief Accountant. They deal with all accounting aspects of the group's activities. The support role will cover credit control, purchase ledger, payroll and general accounting. Some of the principal activities are listed below but there will be other duties, including coverage during the holidays and absence of other members of the department. ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** For the Financial Accountant- General bookkeeping and maintenance of financial and administrative records using Excel and ECS property management software. ***** ***** *****Preparing cheques and writing up cash books Bank reconciliations. Posting journals ***** ***** ***** Stock Exchange share portfolio record maintenance and reports Owners statements For the Credit Controller- Dealing with incoming cheques Maintaining the rents register Dealing with tenant enquiries Sending out copy invoices Analysis of tenants accounts Telephoning late payers For the Purchase Ledger Controller- Petty cash records Staff expense claims Rugeley market records General- Standing in for the receptionist/telephonist including switchboard work, incoming and outgoing post. Provide support to all members of Accounts by undertaking their typing, filing, archiving of records and answering the telephone. Requirement: ***** *****Applicants must have bookkeeping experience A good standard of typing is desirable and a good knowledge of Word and Excel software. Training will be given as necessary necessary. |
