| A Boutique Accounting and Advisory partnership providing support to Financial Services organisations including Hedge Funds, Wealth Management, Stockbroking and Investment Companies are looking for a Qualified Accountant with at least three years post qualification experience.
For the right candidate there is the opportunity to become a Partner within the organisation. They are particularly interested in candidates who have provided accounting services to financial services clients; if not, have good knowledge of accounting and tax for Limited Liability Partnerships, be able to supervise other accountants, provide technical guidance, know how and where to find out guidance on technical issues, willingness to roll up sleeves and do the routine work as well. Must be collegiate and get on within a team. You will be required to produce financial and management accounts, prepare VAT & FSA returns, assist with budgeting and cash forecasting together with ad-hoc accounting duties. Review and Maintain client and internal accounting records Accounts payable Managing of cash balances Preparation of monthly management accounts Monthly or quarterly regulatory FSA & VAT reporting Statutory reporting Budgeting and forecasting Input of expense invoices & travel expenses to Sage Raising of revenue invoices and input to Sage Bank reconciliations Preparation and reconciliation of VAT returns Maintaining regulatory compliance procedures in accordance with FSA requirements Strong Computer Literacy is essential Good Microsoft Office and Excel skills required, knowledge of accounting package experience, particularly Sage essential. Personal qualities Confident, well spoken, professional appearance A well-organised methodical approach to work Strong written and verbal communication skills Good organisation and interpersonal skills |
