| Financial Markets Derivatives Trading Organisation require a Trading Book Accountant in there Financial Control division.
The Trading Book Accountant will be responsible for the accounting of and the reporting of all European Trading Book activity. Key tasks, duties and responsibilities in meeting department purpose/objectives: Maintenance of the chart of accounts within the trading ledger. Control and implementation of all new charge code requests. Control and implementation of all charge rules and definitions. Posting of trading book activity to the general ledger (both balance sheet and profit and loss activity). Monthly reconciliation of the trading book related general ledger balances. Calculation of the cost of capital and the allocation thereof to the relevant profit centres. Analysis of monthly clearing fees and their allocation to profit centres Monthly preparation of the Trading Book reporting pack. Large exposure monitoring. Implementation and maintenance of internal control procedures within the Trading Book area. Dealing with audit queries (both internal and external) Product & customer analysis and the reporting thereof to head-office Reconciliation of customer good faith deposits Ad-hoc project work related to the global implementation of the Trading Book subledger and the continual enhancements to improve the process. Part qualified accountant with at least 2 years commercial experience with a strong interest in systems a Keen interest in financial instruments and the capital markets Broking/Financial services experience would be preferred Systems Experience Oracle Financials desirable but not essential Knowledge of RIMS (trading ledger) would be an advantage Good Excel Skills Access a must Word Outlook |
