| We are looking for a competent Bought Ledger Clerk to join the Accounts team at this city-based Chartered Accountants.
Typically processing around 400-500 invoices per month - from arrival in the post to ensuring payment - they are busy and lively team and are in need of first-class support. Reporting to the Accounts Supervisor, you will be responsible for posting authorised and unauthorised invoices onto the PMS computer system, writing demand cheques and agreeing supplier accounts to statements as well as running the monthly bought ledger and posting of disbursements. In addition, you will be making bought ledger payments by cheque and BACS and conducting telephone calls to suppliers - in all of which you will be acting in accordance with quality standard procedures. Experience / qualifications: You will need to have a minimum of 1 year’s experience in a similar role together with a good working knowledge of MS Excel. An eye for detail and a good, professional telephone manner is essential, whilst experience of the PMS computer package would prove advantageous.
