Are you a Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant? Are you looking for a new opportunity within a large charity committed to Vocational training? Then we may have the job for you! Our client a major skills training organisation is currently seeking the services of a Finance Systems Manager to manage the financial control team at their Great Portland Street offices. The primary focus of this role will see you actively developing, implementing and monitoring an effective framework for financial control. Including procedures to effectively manage systems such as: general ledger, procurement, payments, expenses, payroll and VAT. You will also be responsible for the monitoring of Monthly and Annual income and expenditure against unit budgets and the generation of appropriate reports. As well as the completion of VAT returns, ensuring ledgers are regularly reconciled and maintenance of a contracts register, recording key details of the contracts and ensuring that payments are made according to schedule and major commitments recorded. Consequently, you will need a firm knowledge of Accountancy with day-to-day working knowledge of SAGE L50 or equivalent packages, Knowledge of VAT, Payroll and Business Management and administration. With experience in Staff Management, including training and development; Project based accounting systems; Budgeting, forecasting and reporting; Financial and Contract Management; Liaison with Auditors; Monitoring; Grant application and extensive use of Word, Excel and Sage packages.
