Financial Accountant Job Sector - Banking Location - City of London Salary - £35K to £40K p.a. ACA or ACCA (or equivalent) qualified or part qualified Accountant. Is is essential that you have Banking/Financial services experience with good technical/business skills and knowledge. Excellent MS Office skills with experience of accountancy packages is also essential with URBIS or similar banking systems experience being desireable. You will also be highly motivated, hard working but at the same time able to mix with the team. The objective are to assist the deputy financial controller with day to day requirements as well as managing the financial reporting process. You will also maintain and control financial ledgers of the bank and group companies and ensure all Finance reporting is timely and accurate. Provide cover for Regulatory Reporting Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES Monthly and quarterly preparation of Head Office financial reporting. Preparation of subsidiaries Statutory Financial Statements. Preparation of the Tax Computations for the Bank and subsidiaries. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards both UK and International. Liaise with external accountant on Auditing and Taxation issues. Manage VAT position of the bank and prepare Quarterly returns. Monitor Holding Company long-term borrrowings and roll-overs. Preparation of payroll summaries Approval of hedge transactions. Etc. |
