Our client requires the candidate to be either a 2.1 Graduate or to be an A'level trainee with *****tariff ucas points.

Our client is a large Tax group within a leading city corporate.

This Group deals primarily with the issues relating to clients that have a connection with the US (either American corporates, European subsidiaries of Amercian corporates or individual secondees to and from the US). The US group does also deal with non-US clients.

The US group has over 40 experts, including two partners, who are either dual handlers specialising in both US and UK taxes or UK-only specialists.

We currently have opportunities for Junior Tax Consultants in our London office.


The Responsibilities
The main activities of the US Group include:
administration of international assignment programmes, including personal tax returns and counselling services for international secondess and costing of assignments. The US group deals particularly with the complex area of US state and federal tax returns.

tax efficient expatriate planning including advising on and implementing tax equalisation policies for corporate clients with large expatriate workforces and assistance with policy decisions on international secondments;

international social security advice;

adivising (in conjunction with the remuneration consulting group) on the corporate and personal tax and social security implications of various stock plans and other forms of incentive compensation.
As a Junior Tax Consultant, you will assist the Consultants and Managers in the day to day running of your client portfolio and manage your own workload to ensure all work is completed to timescale and within budget.
Good communication skills;
a commitment to team working;
sound professional judgement including the ability to identify client issues/concerns and convey these to the appropriate senior staff.
You should also have a minimum of 24 UCAS points and a grade B Maths GCSE. If you are a graduate, you should also have a minimum 2:1 degree.

Previous UK/US tax experience is desirable but not required. We will provide support and encouragement in helping you obtain a professioanl chartered tax qualification that will enhance your furture career and salary prospects.
