Working within the Human Resources department, we have an immediate vacancy for a Junior Payroll & Benefits Assistant - ideal for someone with some payroll experience and the enthusiasm to learn more. The role: Supporting the processing of the Bank's payroll and benefits claims is hard work - but rewarding - and you will need to be capable of prioritising effectively and using your initiative to turn work around quickly and accurately. Working within set deadlines, you will be responsible for answering both internal and external queries on payroll issues, advising staff on salary/benefits and ensuring that relevant procedures are adhered to as well as producing and clearing of BACS transmission, reports and reconcilliations. Requirements: You will need some experience of Payroll and benefits administration and good working knowledge of Windows NT (including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel). Experience of Windows-based Payroll system would be useful, as would knowledge of SAP. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, numeracy and an eye for accuracy are a must.
