Can you demonstrate a burning enthusiasm to carve yourself a career in Publishing? If you have strong organisational skills, can type and use MS Office you’re half way there! Supporting the Rights Department at one of the best known names in publishing, you will be working for two Senior Managers who are responsible for the sale of all rights throughout the World to make profit for the company and its book authors. The job is to provide a complete Admin service to the Senior Rights Manager (SRM) and the Bookclub Rights Manager (BRM) including typing, mailing, filing, database management and collating sales material. Using your strong communication skills, you will build business relationships and enjoy lots of liaison with US publishers and book clubs acquiring information to allow you to prepare schedules and materials for the two senior managers and their trips abroad, book fairs and presentations. YOU: A bright and on the ball graduate with a real enthusiasm about working in publishing - probably with an interest in rights issues too! Computer literate, you are competent in MS Office - particularly Word, Excel and Outlook and your written + spoken communication skills are second to none. You type in the region of 40wpm+ and ideally have 1 year's publishing experience.
