Title: Compliance Assistant/Administrator

Department: Compliance and Internal Audit

Section: Compliance

Reporting To: Manager/Director

Responsibility for administration of client accounts and day-to-day compliance related duties.

Reason for Vacancy-Internal Move:


This role will suit a 2nd jobber and someone who can demonstrate at least a minimum of 6-9 months of Banking Administration experience be it Investment/Retail/Insurance or similar City Experience.

Key areas:
Money Laundering checks for new Business via a classification process/Terms & Conditions/Signatures/Research & Authorisation.
Extensive contact with Clients & Trading Floors internally so you must be able to liaise at all levels. You will also be responsible for ensuring all people are following compliance issues/procedures within the organiation so although not directly involved in Training indirectly you will be. Will also have to be involved in Day to Day queries and Adhoc and filing.


Purpose of Job


Main Job Functions & Tasks

· Data input and updating of client information to Mainframe system;
· Client Classification and Money Laundering checks;
· Distribution of client documentation;
· Answering the telephone;
· Dealing with day to day queries;
· Liaison with front office staff;
· Filing;
· Adhoc administrative work.


Qualifications & Skills

· GCSE Maths & English Grade C or above;
· Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet;
· Confident teamplayer with the ability to work on their own initiative;
· Good communication skills, ability to deal with people at all levels;
· A quick learner with a flexible manner.
