Position Title: Risk Administrator Department: Risk Management Europe MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: To provide administrative and PA support to Risk Management Group in our London office. BACKGROUND TO THE GROUP: Risk Management is a stand-alone division with offices in New York and London. RM Europe provides institutions, investors and regulatory bodies throughout Europe with leading-edge analytical tools and services which measure and manage credit and operational risk. The department consists of about 12 staff, plus liaison with the US and European offices. In keeping with RM's status as a stand-alone unit, the position is autonomous. Primary Responsibilities § General administration - photocopying, filing, faxing etc. § Liaison with -based support services (HR, Finance, Accounts, IT, etc.,) § Preparation and administration of group post. § Preparation of charts, tables and slides for presentations § Organising conferences and meetings (inc. some preparation of meeting rooms) § Minute taking § Coordinate and manage travel plans § Liaison with branch offices (mainly US, German, Italian, Spanish and French offices) § Updating and maintaining departmental reports, which includes budgets, employee attendance). § Fielding client queries and referring them to relevant personnel. § Some involvement in ad-hoc projects. PERSON SPECIFICATION CANDIDATE COMPETENCIES: § Good common sense and a logical approach to work § Excellent interpersonal skills, especially as the role require extensive liaison with senior people. § An ability to juggle a number of different tasks at any one time as well as ability to prioritise own workload, § Good organisational skills and time management, as support is provided to the department as a whole not just one person, and therefore involves managing a number of diaries. § Calm manner required as the role can be pressurised, with a number of conflicting priorities. § Good communication skills as you will be required to deal with a lot of telephone enquiries § Good sense of humour Required Skills § 2 plus years or more experience. § Good level of general education (minimum 5 good O/GCSE levels) § Very good knowledge of Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and Power Point § Exposure to a highly international working environment § Proficiency in at least one Western European Language, in addition to English. Desired Skills § Good working knowledge of a second Western European language an advantage. § Work experience gained within a financial institution, financial software or consulting organisation desirable, although not essential.
