A solid administration background Good knowledge of Access, Excel and Word Working knowledge or interest in web development/maintenance The Contract Unit provides advice and assistance on engagement contractual risk issues. The Unit is responsible for developing and maintaining General Terms of Business, Additional Terms of Business and various Engagement Letters. The Unit also provide information and templates for secondments and confidentiality agreements as well as variation letters, proposal and tender agreements. The Responsibilities The job holder will support the activities of the other members of the department by: maintaining and updating the Unit's website - the website is one of the most extensively used for client facing purposes in time critical situations - a knowledge of NOF (website format) would be beneficial; being sufficiently flexible to apply any future format changes on the website that may be required by Knowledge Management; getting involved in some project work as and when it arises, these include research and information gathering projects; managing the Unit's database - this requires an ability to use Microsoft Access; updating the database promptly so that quick and easy access of more than 2,000 live files is possible; dealing with incoming telephone queries providing advice where possible or referring to another member of staff; arranging travel and meetings. The Person You will need the following qualifications, skills and experience: A minimum of 1-2 years' experience as an administrator working in a busy team environment 5 GCSEs or equivalent at grades A-C including English and Maths Intermediate level in Access, Word and Excel Working knowledge of interest in web development/maintenance Ability to use own initiative when dealing with queries Willingness to develop knowledge of the department practices and processes |
