| Our client a major international business advisor requires a conflict administrator. This person looks at new business the company is taking and untertakes research to identify any conflict of interest with other clients or the firms own activities.
Proven, strong database and analytical skills required... Please find below a list of the key responsibilities for this role: Receive advice on standard form of prospective engagements nationally and check the names against all appropriate sources. Sources may include: The firm's client directory; the firm's time recording systems; the firm's contacts database; the firm's proposals database; the firm's Forensic database; the Internet; foreign practices where applicable Give enquirer immediate indication of response time Inform enquirer in a timely fashion whether search result is positive or negative. If positive, list out all appropriate details Make flat-rate charge for all engagements which are accepted, possibly using a two-tier system Report to relevant partners and/or managers with national compliance/operational responsibilities Establish good working relationship with equivalent in Forensic Accounting for training, advice, comparison Workload will depend on whether the function decides that smaller engagements e.g. bankruptcies, do not need to go through national checking process. The role will also include administration responsibilities e.g. assisting with membership and insolvency licence renewals etc. It is estimated that the role will be split approximately 80% conflict checking and 20% administration. |
