| The company are currently seeking a course manager to join its course management team, which is responsible for organising all aspects of approximately fifteen financial training courses each month. Based in our City offices, the role includes registration of delegates; liaison with faculty, venues and suppliers; maintaining budgets; hiring computer and audio equipment; generally ensuring the smooth logistics of each event. Candidates must have excellent keyboard skills (especially Word and basic Excel), excellent (spoken and Written) English and customer service skills, a good level of numeracy, first-class organisational and time management skills. You must have previous office experience in a busy, professional environment, and are likely to be educated to degree level.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Part of a 5 strong graduate team, responsible for the organisation of 3 or 4 residential and/ or non-residential courses each month. Liaison with delegates, faculty, venue, on-site course assistant, printers, computer suppliers, couriers, etc to ensure the smooth running of each event. Presenting and enhancing a high level of professional administration and customer services. - Registration of delegates, confirmation, invoicing and all delegate correspondence. - Correspondence with faculty, including setting deadlines for delivery of course materials etc. - Correspondence with venue, restaurants etc. Frequent telephone liaison. Visits to venues etc as required. - Compiling budgets for each event on a monthly basis (ie: revenue versus costs for each event), checking and signing off of invoices for each event, plus any related cost control measures. Liaison with Central Accounts department to sort out invoice queries. - Working with other members of the course management team (as well as the sales and marketing team) to ensure the overall smooth functioning of the office and course logistics. - Generating new ideas for ways to eg: standardise correspondence, reduce costs, achieve more effective course logistics. - Screening and compiling final delegate evaluation reports at the end of each event. Sending out of course certificates to delegates, along with related brochures for next or other events. SECONDARY RESPONSIBILTIES Each course manager is also responsible for a set of secondary tasks such as scheduling course assistants, dealing with supplier invoices/ bought ledger. |
