A role has arisen to work for the Head of Junior Resource Management Europe and her team which consists of Graduate Recruitment and Continuing Education, based withing the Investment Banking Business. This position is on a part time basis working one week on one week off. As an assistant, you will perform diverse secretarial duties and administrative functions requiring confidentiality, initiative and sound judgement for a manager or a team. In addition to filing, faxing and photocopying you will prepare and/or assist in creating presentations, charts/graphs, databases, spreadsheets, and materials for meetings; compose routine correspondence; organise diaries; and deal with internal and external clients. You will also co-ordinate travel arrangements (including flights, hotels, taxis, currency etc.) and reconcile expenses. In addition, you may gather and analyse data to complete independent assignments and organise and maintain confidential files. You will also be involved in various project work for the Graduate Recruitment and Continuing Education teams. Qualifications Strong PC skills (proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Lotus Notes preferred) Knowledge of general office procedures (e.g., filing, correspondence, arranging meetings) Effective interpersonal skills Superior oral and written communication skills Excellent telephone manner Advanced ability to organise and manage own time Tact and good judgement in confidential situations and the ability to interact with senior management At least three years of secretarial experience and meeting co-ordination Self starter with the ability to work in a sometimes pressurised environment. |
