Through project work, research, events, world-wide representation, special interest and expert groups they are able to help companies from virtually every sector of the UK economy expand in their use of electronic commerce in the UK and globally.


As part of the Advisory and Membership Services Team you will need to be customer focused and able to form ongoing working relationships with UK business members and Industry representatives. Areas of responsibility will include.

• Via telephone, proactively provide help to new and existing members to utilise services and solutions.
• Become involved in project work carried out by consulting teams and business development staff in order to broaden your understanding of the requirements of the members businesses, processes and use of the solutions.
• Develop an understanding of the association’s standards, products and services and keep up to date with any changes.
• Develop an understanding of their database and website particularly the members’ on-line section.
• Provide help and support to members with general enquiries.
• Maintain regular contact with members to assist and advise them on activities relating to the on-going developments in e-commerce, use of bar coding systems and electronic data interchange.
• Resolve technical enquiries ( through escalation to technical executives where required )
• Handle enquiries from business about joining the association, Processing new member applications, renewals, service orders and resignations.
• Provide statistics for inclusion in management reports.
• Identify opportunities to promote the organisation’s training and other services.
• Contribute towards achieving service level targets

Ideal candidates will be well educated, have experience of working in a Client or Membership Service environment and have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
An understanding of electronic commerce, EDI and Bar-Coding would be an advantage but is not essential providing you have the ability to learn and assimilate information.
You must be motivated and ambitious, used to tackling assignments with enthusiasm and commitment and willing to continue the learning process in order to obtain relevant knowledge and qualifications to support both personal aspirations and work objectives.
