Our client is a well established and successful Asset Management/Hedge Fund in the West End of London. They require a General Office Assistant to join their team and support the Office Manager and all employees in their new offices.

Responsibilities:

Role
• General Office Assistant- support to Office Manager
• Organising meetings for analysts and fund managers
• Responsible for the efficient running of the meeting rooms, ensuring tea and coffee are prepared (between 4 - 12 meetings a day approx)
• Organising travel, accommodation and entertainment, helping reduce costs
• Sorting and delivering post twice a day
• General receptionist duties including: Answering telephones, Greeting guests, Organising couriers, Ordering office supplies
• Further ad hoc help to Office Manager as and when it occurs (eg IT problems, service provider issues)
• Helping with end of month staff expenses, cash and credit cards
• Maintaining files
• May help from time to time with other ad hoc tasks such as compliance, proof reading, presentations etc.

Desired Skills & Experience
• Experience in a similar role - Hedge Fund/Asset Management/Finance experience helpful
• Well presented with excellent telephone manner
• Numeric
• Excellent IT skills and knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is a pre-requisite
• Degree educated

The successful candidate must have a typing speed of 60 wpm or above. Excellent IT skills and knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook are pre-requisites. The candidate must be well presented with an excellent telephone manner and pay attention to detail. Experience in Hedge Fund/Asset Management/Finance is preferred but not essential. The candidate must be willing to be flexible, take initiative and have a professional confident manner.
