Our client a leading catering company requires a team leader to join their processing department. The successful candidate will manage the cash handling, back-office and reconciliation operation that spans across 8 countries in UK and Europe and will report to the Processing Manager.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Managing a large team, i.e. shifts, holidays, and sickness.
• Performance management through key performance indicators and appraisals, providing ongoing support, training and development.
• To ensure a scheduled flow of work from the cash handling companies to the processing department.
• Provide management with details of workflow received, and expected for the following day by base.
• Continually monitor all cash processing bases, identify any training requirements, process enhancements, processing deficiencies and/or delays in the cash processing cycle.
• Contact cash handler and ascertain reasons for delay in cash processing and timeframe for resolution of delay. Follow-up on problem bases daily.
• Escalate unresolved issues to management, as soon as identified, along with timeframe for resolution.
• Arrange start-up, closure or changes to scheduled collections from cash processing bases.
• Ensure efficient processing of paperwork in order to meet contractual service level agreements, and key business objectives.
• Implement effective discrepancy management processes.
• Produce payslips and summary for payment of crew commissions.

The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. The ability to plan, organise and execute workloads efficiently, whilst working to strict deadlines is key to the role as well as the ability to problem-solve under pressure and meet new challenges. The candidate must be able to challenge established practices and deliver creative solutions to complex business problems, whilst continually documenting and implementing new and improved processes and procedures. Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills are essential as well as previous staff and workflow management experience. This is a temp to permanent role
