Job Title: Senior European Office Manager, London

Reporting To: European Operations Director

Direct Reports Europe: Sales Support
Business Support
Reception
Accountant

Education: To at least degree level

Languages: Must be fluent in at least one foreign language in either French, German, Italian or Spanish

Main Duties

1. Manager of the European Support team
- Complete management from recruitment through to appraisals
- Co-ordination and prioritisation of team members’ workload to include the Business Support team in all European offices
- Motivation and development of all team members
- Hands-on contribution is expected in all areas as required especially overflow Business Support work
- Drawing up and control of the Admin and Support budget
- Optimisation of staff, office and consumable costs
- Travel will be frequent and of short duration

2. Design and Implementation of European Business Support Strategies
- Standardisation of European Business Support Processes
- Establish communication infrastructure within Business Support
- Utilise Business Support effectively on projects
- Raising awareness of all Business Support throughout the business.

3. Responsible for European office facilities

4. Event management including both internal and external events wherever possible.

5. Responsibility for reviewing and streamlining support processes

6. Internal miscellaneous projects

Person Specification

Relevant previous experience

- Must have direct line management experience as a team leader
- Office manager/facilities
- Experience in leading strategic initiatives
- Ideally from economics/technical background
- Events management
- Experience of multi-national organisations would be advantageous
- Financially literate - cost control and close liaison with finance and accounting is key
- Knowledge/experience of European employment law would be advantageous
- Experience of a consulting environment would be advantageous


Skills required

- Must be highly IT literate, in particular Microsoft Office
- Must be customer facing - this is a service function
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong character/confident personality
- Strong presentation skills
- Organisational/motivational
- Ability to work under pressure and work to deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible
- Awareness of cultural differences
- Flexibility and willingness travel
