| The primary role is to give support to the Senior Corporate Investment Consultant in the provision of investment advice to pensions funds around the world.
To provide support to the Concern Actuary with regard to the Asset Liability work of the department interfacing with the pension funds around the world and third party consultants. To be fully responsible for monitoring the compliance of all parties who provide investment services. To be responsible for carrying our first level compliance checks on the investment aspects of the pensions funds around the world, interfacing with the relevant person in the local countries to ensure information held centrally is accurate and up to date. This includes updating the central Access database and compiling the statistics to be presented to the Executive Council. Key Tasks and# *****; Prepare reports for the Uniac Trustee meetings and# *****; Participation in investment manager research and monitoring meetings and# *****; Carry out portfolio analysis of investment manager and custodian used by Uniac and provide continual evaluation of their skills and# *****; Carry out full compliance checks of all investment aspects. and# *****; Take full responsibility for the investment database an– including running compliance checks on all schemes and analyse and understand results and# *****; Provide full support on all aspects of the investment analysis and work carried out by the Senior Corporate Investment Consultant and# *****; Conduct regular reviews of the preferred providers of custodial services to Unilever and# *****; Assist in the development of new investment policies and their implementation and# *****; Preparation of all statistics for the annual investment report and draft initial report and# *****; Asset Liability work will include full review and input into the assumptions used in the model, discussions with the local country and the third party consultants on the results of the model. and# *****; Must be flexible as they will be expected to participate and help on other CPD projects regarding benefits and multinational pooling Skills and Requirements (italics important) and# *****; Team Player and# *****; Investment literate to a very high level on all types of instruments and# *****; Minimum two yearsan’ experience investment analysis and/or undertaken some actuarial training and# *****; Some experience with asset liability modelling or economic forecasting and# *****; High level of IT skills an– visual basic programming within excel and some experience with Access would be an advantage and# *****; Interested in developing their consultancy skills and# *****; Self motivator with good organisation skills and# *****; Ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines and# *****; A proactive thinker/developer of improvements in work allocated and# *****; Strong analytical and problem solving skills and# *****; Plays an active role in life outside work |
