| If you are an experienced data analyst with at least two years equity research and analysis experience (within fund management desirable) then this is your chance to make a significant impact by joining a rapidly developing company in the financial index market. You will have a strong working knowledge of global financial markets incorporating indices. It would also be useful if you had skills in another language as you would have a chance to use them on a daily basis.

Working from a position of market leadership in the UK and Europe, the strategy is to develop the brand globally and dramatically increase business worldwide. Key Functions and Responsibilities To undertake quarterly/annual reviews of the U.K., European, Gold Mines and customised series of indices calculated and presented to the associated Practitioner Committees accordingly; To undertake and present the periodical reviews of constituent markets and feasibility studies in preparation for the introduction of new markets; To assist in identifying new enhancements to the review processes and to provide support in the preparation of agenda items and papers; To actively monitor and analyse the impact of important market developments and forthcoming complex issues to the indices and escalate to Committee members as required; To be part of project teams for the development and introduction of new indices as required by the Project Development Group; Liaise with data suppliers, stock exchanges and partners in the provision of data for the index reviews and develop working relationships with the relevant parties. YOU: Educated to a degree level or equivalent financial qualification; At least two years equity research and analysis experience within fund management environment desirable; Foreign business language skills an advantage, although not essential; Working knowledge of global financial markets incorporating indices; Experience of working to deadlines and managing workloads effectively; Working knowledge of Datastream, Reuters and Bloomberg; Advanced IT skills incorporating Excel, Office *****and Windows 95. |
