This client is looking for an A'Level Educated 2nd (1 years office exp) Jobber who is interested in the financial markets and is highly competant on Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Fixed Income Research Analyst The research analyst position requires a candidate with writing and analytical skills and ability to efficiently work with others to a deadline. The analyst will be responsible for updating and maintaining the bond and specialist databases and data appearing on associated websites to an agreed set of standards. The database: Bond Database - To manage and develop an effective bond and programme team. The role will ensure that the highest levels of accuracy and efficiency are maintained in data collection, and will necessitate a strong strategic eye to assist the continued development of the product. The database is linked to the equity and loans databases. The product analyst needs to keep a strategic eye over market developments and identify new areas of growth for the business, while maintaining excellent coverage and quality of our existing data. Traditional problems of debt research especially backlogs should always be avoided. Specific Responsibilities: Ensure that the data collection of Bond and specialist programme information is completed in a timely and efficient manner Acquire knowledge, skills and expertise in the use of a wide variety of information sources, the identification of data to be used and its extraction to appropriate format. Develop relationship with loan and project finance bank contacts. Liase with local and international colleagues and develop good work relationships. Instigate monthly and quarterly bank surveys Maintain and update contacts database Responsibility for the update of certain website components Checking quality of certain website-based league tables. Skills/Qualifications A'Level Standard of Education. GENERAL EXPERIENCE - SPECIALIST SKILLS & ABILITIES Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to show initiative and an out-going, confident manner Ability to work both independently and as part of a team High attention to detail Computer literate - job requires high degree of Word, Excel, Internet use Interest in financial markets |
