OUR CLIENT REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING: Very good knowledge of Investment Trusts and Unit Trusts, what they are, their structures and characteristics. Good knowledge of Equity, Fixed Interest and Indices markets. Good at maths. Understanding of customer requirements. MS Excel & Word. Data maintenance and checking experience. Project Management. Communication and interpersonal skills. Report writing (including writing business level specifications and documentation). Training & coaching skills. Experience within Financial Data Company or Fund Management/Research department of Investment Bank. Presentation skills Creativity, to enable formulation of imaginative solutions. Summary of role To support the Editor in ensuring the completeness, timeliness and accuracy of Investment Trust and Unit Trust data stored on databases. To manage and implement specific projects required to satisfy strategic goals. Specific Responsibilities: 1. Project Management - To ensure allocated projects are delivered to agreed specifications and deadlines. 2. Unit Trust Issues - To manage Unit Trust new data projects, supplier replacement projects and data cleanup projects that will improve completeness, timeliness and accuracy. 3. Investment Trust Issues - To manage Investment Trust projects that will improve completeness, timeliness and accuracy. 4. Fund Documentation - To take ownership of Unit Trust and Investment Trust Editorial documentation. 5. Provide support to the following groups: Technology staff working in PC, mainframe, or new product areas requiring advice on specification and testing issues. Business Managers/Product Managers in the Market groups requiring support on the database structure, ingest methods, securities definitions, market rules and testing issues. Customer Support / Sales staff requiring data coverage and functionality support. Operations requiring support on securities definitions, database structure, ingest methods, market rules and testing issues. 6. Effective communication with the Production and Support teams, all Security Editorial groups. 7. Generate regular monthly reports for projects and workload, and attend/run project meetings. |
