INVESTMENT INCOME ADMINISTRATOR
OPERATIONS DIVISION - MARKET FACING

REPORTING TO: Team Leader Investment Income

JOB PURPOSE: To ensure the integrity, timely receipt and processing of all investment income in accordance with market and client requirements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Daily portfolio update, reconciliation and clearance of bank statements

Monitoring of receipts to ensure timely collection of income against accruals
To document, investigate and actively chase outstanding payments with Custodians, Stock Lending and other departments
Ensure the accuracy of income data set up and liase with the relevant sections for correction where necessary

To liase with the Reconciliation, Settlement and Corporate Action departments to reconcile unmatched statement entries against accruals
To assist the Client Facing Team and other departments with queries/enquiries on an ad hoc basis
Ensure client mandate is adhered to in relation to dividend
Maintenance of investment income records (settlements and dividends)

To provide data for inclusion into MIS reports
Compile relevant data in relation to tax reclaims as required by the client
To be aware of market changes and developments and take the relevant action as they occur
To work as part of a team being aware of other team member’s responsibilities and to cover in their absence
To work closely with the Team Leader escalating potential problems as soon as they arise

TECHNICAL SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

CORE COMPETENCIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

At least 2 years experience of dividend and interest processing
Must have advanced Excel to macro level
Knowledge of tax rules on dividends is essential
Must have experience of Operations investment accounting ledger systems
Ideally 3 - 5 years experience within asset management/custodian /banking environment
Use of Hiportfolio would be an advantage
Understanding of Unit Trust pricing processes/regulations would be an advantage
IMRO threshold competency would be an advantage
To communicate effectively at all levels.

To work effectively as part of a team, with the ability to resolve conflicts

To organise own work effectively, plan ahead and consider alternative options and strategies.
