| Entry level position to write financial reports on Bond and related issues
Summary of Primary Role: To report on international bonds and related markets for the Credit screen service, clients magazine and related web products, concentrating on collecting details of new bond issues. Key Responsibilities: 1. Collect details of new international bond issues, as instructed by the Assistant Editor, Fixed Income. 2. Write news stories and articles on significant events in the international bond markets, as instructed by the Assistant Editor, Fixed Income. 3. Develop and maintain a strong base of contacts in the international bond markets. 4. Liaise with colleagues on other sections and other bureaux to ensure continuity of editorial coverage of the international bond markets. 5. Work to relevant product deadlines. 6. Contribute to Special Reports as required. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS Essential Desirable 1. Ability to work under time pressure to a high degree of accuracy. 2. Willingness to develop a good understanding of the international capital markets, including the high-yield and related markets. 3. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully within a highly professional team. 4. Good news sense. 5. Ability to write clear, concise English. 1. Graduate preferred. 2. Fluency in one or more additional languages would be an advantage. Special features of job: Some unsociable hours working will be required; time off in lieu is given as appropriate.
