Leading Financial information provider require a Project Support Associate.

Please only apply for this position if you have a good knowledge of the products of Reuters, Bloomberg and Datastream, good knowledge of Global Securities markets and instrument types and knowledge of databases.
Summary of Primary Role :
To undertake responsibility for the management and delivery of small to medium projects allocated to the Project Support group. (1-3 months duration). The group, as a whole, undertakes the management or investigation of a variety of projects on behalf of our client. These are either to respond to a direct Operational need, or are commissioned by the Business Analysis Group, Commercial Support, or Securities Editors if the project has a strong data element. The projects can be data research or evaluation projects, involve data integrity testing, process improvements or infrastructure projects. In overview, the role is to analyse the requirements, agree the deliverables, identify and carry out or co-ordinate all tasks required, and liaise with other departments to ensure a timely delivery to the project sponsor.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Review and clarify scope - Liaise with the relevant project requestor to review and clarify the project requirements in order to identify and implement all tasks required to complete the project. This would be achieved by soliciting advice, input and expertise when and where necessary and influencing processes developed.

2. Plan and manage - Liaise with the relevant project team members from the TFR or Content areas where necessary, plan and manage the delivery of the support project to ensure all required tasks are completed to standards and timescales specified by the project requestor.

3. Design and implement - Take the lead in designing the processes required to complete the project to specification. Implement and test the new processes to ensure required standards are met.
4. Quality assurance - Employ any standard checking procedures to ensure the new processes are of good quality.
5. Document and handover - Ensure that full process documentation is produced and handed over to the relevant areas along with full training thereof. For a period following handover provide ad-hoc support to the relevant area.
6. Administration - Provide regular progress reports to the Manager and project requestor (along with any other areas within PDC/PFID as the project requires) and using the relevant forum as directed.
Qualifications & Knowledge
Understanding of the workings of global securities markets and instrument types.
Knowledge of data, databases and update tools.
Basic IT knowledge.
MS Office
Other business related qualifications such as economics, business studies, statistics or specific market instruments.
MS Access and basic understanding of Visual Basic concepts to apply to Excel macros to aid data manipulation/testing techniques.

Experience within a financial data company
Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams
Understanding of Quality assurance methods of sampling and testing.
