| My Clients are a team of experienced event professionals organising a portfolio of consumer exhibitions and business to business events. This rapidly growing portfolio is based on a mixture of acquisitions new launch and partnership with their overseas offices and other overseas organisers and media groups to create new events in other markets. They specialise in clearly defined, vertical events serving quality audiences.
Through industry knowledge and a highly successful sales team, my client have successfully built a portfolio of national and international events held at some of the largest exhibition halls in the UK and throughout the world. An opportunity has a risen for a tenacious Sales person to join their sales team for one of their technology based exhibitions. The role involves working within a sales team and as the sales executive/project manager; you will be responsible for hitting agreed sales targets through effective use of sales and marketing tools. Key responsibilities include: • Maximising sale of space, sponsorship and advertising according to set schedules, targets and deadlines. • Collection of all revenue derived from sales according to payment schedules • Development and maintenance of exhibitor and visitor databases according to agreed profiles and targets • To build relationships with existing clients, understanding their businesses and marketing needs • Development and implementation of show exhibitor marketing plan and materials according to agreed needs and target groups • Preparation of weekly prospect reports to assess progress in achievement of targets • Onsite customer relationship management • To have knowledge of the relevant industry (Technology and Computing) in order to capitalise on opportunities in a constantly changing market. • To understand the functions of other departments encouraging better working practice and maximising overall company objectives. • Provide general feedback on market information The ideal candidate will ideally but not essentially have • At least 12 months experience in a successful sales environment • Event experience • Experience in face to face sales though experience in telesales and will be the key thrust so a good telephone manner and organised approach is vital • Experience of B2B (or B2C exhibitions as appropriate) And should be preferably be: • Educated to degree level • Familiar with Microsoft Office This is a great opportunity to work in a busy environment within an interesting industry which will give you insight in to the latest developments within the technology industry. |
