| An excellent opportunity to join a renowned and well-regarded British membership organisation, based in Central London. The purpose of this role is to develop and implement a balanced programme of events at colleges UK-wide, and to develop key projects and benefit schemes for affiliated societies. The job encompasses many different aspects - for example: you will be building strong relationships with colleges, working with them to increase attendance to events, and identifying areas which need developing within their programme. You will also be organising the calendar of events at each college, in adherence with deadlines. Another aspect will be to encourage recruitment of new affiliated clubs and renewal of existing ones. This will entail researching and compiling data on each club, and writing articles and comments of current interest to them. Other aspects to the job include: monitoring website activity, assisting in the organisation of events, and producing a bi-annual newsletter. The type of person they are looking for has: strong project management skills and experience of working with deadlines and budgets; strong interpersonal skills; good presentation skills; the ability to think creatively on projects and excellent written ability. This will need to have been demonstrated by at least one years experience in marketing / communications / sales environment, and at least one year’s experience of managing projects successfully. |
