As a global supplier of consumer, media and market research, our client helps their customers to discover opportunities, monitor competitors and develop their products. They are currently looking to recruit an outstanding and sales oriented Sales Account Manager / Business Development Manager to join their Global New Product Database (GNPD) team.

This is a prestigious opportunity for a driven and talented Sales professional. As a Sales Account Manager / Business Development Manager you will have B2B responsibility for the UK market, selling their Global New Product Database.

Working with the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) team, you will manage and build upon a prestigious portfolio of clients across areas of the UK. The product is a comprehensive database that monitors worldwide product innovation in consumer packaged goods markets - and there is a much interest in it, making this the ultimate business development opportunity.

With your first class sales/account management and customer acquisition skills, you will be confident in managing sales activity across a wide geographic area where you will thrive in meeting financial targets. Although office based, this position will involve travelling for up to 3-4 days a week.

As a Sales Account Manager / Business Development Manager you will have a flair for giving presentations or negotiating with Marketing Directors, supported by a strong sense of empathy and an intuitive understanding of clients’ business objectives. Your enthusiasm, ambition and positive outlook - will be the secret to your success.

Essential to your success in this great position will be your extensive previous sales experience and your determination to make this role yours. Ideally you will have completed an International Business degree (or equivalent).

You should also have experience of consulting, marketing, or research services within the CPG, FMCG and food and drink industries. Strong English skills and a full clean driving licence are also both essential.
