Our client is a company that specialises in the exciting and fast paced world of promotional merchandise. The company sources, manufactures and sells below the line sales promotion and merchandise products, to the top *****UK companies and their marketing agencies. Company offices are based in newly renovated offices in Kentish town a 10-minute walk from tube and Thames link.

There are three core brands under the company umbrella, which provide the following services:

* A supplier, designer and manufacturer of badges, key rings and fridge magnets for the promotional market.
* A brand that specialises in selling general promotional products.a
* A division that sources and sells any type of bespoke or standard bags.

They currently seek a Sales Executive / Account Handler to:

* Develop new business opportunities, via cold calling, through leads from trade magazines / seasonal events / exhibitions / directories etc.
* Develop existing contacts and accounts from our extensive database
* Build up your own client territory of clients / agencies and other merchandising companies

The role involves three key activities, account management, sourcing of products and sales. You will be working to a monthly target, bonus and commission structure.

Applicants will require at least some previous experience in a busy (non retail) sales environment where you will have sold direct to clients and preferably to some form of agency. An understanding of the promotional marketplace and knowledge in product sourcing would make you a must see candidate. Candidates must have had experience in building client relationships through face-to-face meetings and over the telephone. Developing long-term client relationships is key to being successful in this industry.

In addition, you will hold the following personal qualities:
* All candidates must be educated to degree level (or equivalent)
* Good organisational and memory skills and an ability to learn quickly are imperative
* You will show commitment and longevity
* A bright, friendly and personable character is also vital to the role.

The successful applicant will benefit from:

* £24,000 basic or dependent on experience
* Potential OTE £27k year 1 / year 2 £38k uncapped commission
* Holiday - 4 weeks
* Working hours 9-6pm Mon-Friday
* Any pension contribution made company will give extra 12% to the pension
