Job Description The UK Sales Manager will report to UK Sales Director and be based at the UK head office and distribution centre in Staines. The position will hold direct responsibility for growing sales and market share in the UK and for developing strategies that will ensure the company’s long term success. He/she will liaise directly with FDD - or any other third parties as appropriate - and determine the focus of effort between major chains, medium sized retailers and smaller independents. Key elements of the UK Sales Manager’s responsibility will include: - • To meet or exceed the UK sales plan, to be agreed with UK MD and Sales Director and the US. To understand the UK market in terms of channels of distribution and to budget and (reforecast) by channel and product category. At all times to ensure there is accurate forecasting of sales and stock demand, particularly during the peak sales periods of the Easter/Summer and the Autumn/Winter programmes. • To raise market awareness of brands and to establish robust relationships with principal buyers in each of mass-market retailer chains. With major retail partners, to refresh customer knowledge and understanding of new products with each launch and ensure consistently improving sales orders across each of the product ranges. The Sales Manager will be responsible - within margins to be agreed - for all retailer price negotiations. • To help develop presence in the market through all other relevant marketing opportunities (e.g. Trade Fairs/Exhibitions) • At all times to gather market feedback on products and provide competitive intelligence to the US. |
